On Monday evening I went to an enlightening and fascinating talk given by author Timothy Freke, who until then I had never heard of. More about Tim can be found on his website. http://www.timothyfreke.com/tim.php
The central theme of what Tim was saying was his concept of how being and knowing that we are all One is compatible with our retaining our own individuality. Or as he puts it in the video linked below, "waking up to our oneness and celebrating our separateness". The link below leads to a very short (less than 2 minutes) video where he explains this...
In his talk (not in the video clip) Tim also addressed an oft-repeated concern that we will lose our senses of self, our egos, etc., by making it quite clear that in his view our knowledge of our Oneness will, if anything strengthen our senses of individuality - and that we will not become like the Borg.
Enjoy!

*Well yes Simon and All,
...Even 'His' perspective is that of an 'individual'. I'm of the view....that 'of course' Oneness & Separateness are always present. I come at it from 'Consciousness Itself'. Consciousness ALLOWS for 'The Possibility Of All Possibilities'....while/and because, it's all a part of 'Consciousness' EXPERIENCING ITSELF. So there. Tah/'S'
