Talking about Meta-Programs & Archetypes in my book
('Trying To Light The Match'/'Kicking The One Reality Habit')

My writing brashly and evocatively (with obvious emotive intent as some might say) about 'the powers' and in a mythological context, would be looked on by the 'box' as a complete illogic perversion of the 'real'. Thank you Mr. Spock, but here's the 'real' gist of the other side of the coin of the human equation...which you and yours fail to complete or allow recognition of. We could 'talk' about mythical entities (Gwynn Ap Nudd, 'The Goddess', Pan, the fairy Kings and Queens, the Irish 'Tuatha De Danann' race of supernaturals, or any number and the names of Demi-Gods and spirits given by differing cultures) 'as if' they or their energies really exist or existed. This, of course, would also have to include The Personal Father God of the middle-Eastern myths, angels, and all the Gods/Goddesses of the East in all their forms and expressions. They can all be considered as archetypes, and thus meta-programs. That doesn't mean they can't be experienced.
We have to go back to what 'archetype' or 'archetypes' means, way beyond pure inference. It is the most fundamental-basic unconscious 'form', that does exist commonly and 'constantly' in the human psyche...in all individuals and their cultures regardless of high or low development, or their separation and growth from each other. The archetype concepts, and the need to understand them, are 'inside' all of us...as a 'set' of beings. They are image 'reflections' of potentialities of 'human' spiritual bases. They summon our yearnings to the mysteries of our natures. On this plane, within the 'set' of our nature configuration, there is 'no way' ultimate mystery can be comprehended...it's not included in anything of 'our' experience. The 'archetype' then becomes or is, in its' commonality of something within our experiences, a helper in reflecting the cosmic infinite and its' mysteries to our level of being. In a wrap up, the 'archetype' is a condescending of forms about spiritual awareness by the 'infinite', to 'our' levels of experience, minds, and understanding. An 'essence' of what 'we' are and can be is 'shown through' to us. The closed 'reality box' shuts 'off' all of this basic spiritual potential and mystery.
Everything that had pre-existed esoterically, even from all the most ancient worships and mythic teachings, would be 'taken over'...this time...by Christianity for its' own use and overlay. It is what gives Christianity, or any belief system, the 'background' power to its' meta-program. It's all based on previous, much earlier, meta-programs more influenced by known cosmic and spiritual wisdom...and it has no 'real' attachment to a one specific truth.
It is of the nature of universal symbolism within archetype and myth...as condescension to the human mind set from the 'infinite'.
It is well for us to dance with our mysteries and not be too secure in definitive 'realization' of them. It's a testing ground here for not putting borders on mysteries. How is 'reality' to be perceived? What is the quality of 'mind' that perceives it? Are we attempting to 'measure' and quantify all things again, as in the 'scientific method'? When...like scientists...we scrutinize, hypothesize, divide, test, and observe, we are trying to fix things into a rational-logically designed one-purpose 'box'...isolated from all extraneous or 'non-fitting' pieces. The problem is...we have no 'right' to do so. To do so would 'mean' that we have already established the parameters for 'reality', and 'know' all the things that constitute 'reality' and all the things that are outside or not belonging to 'reality'. That is precisely the presumption of Science, even though the very act of observing anything....alters its' perception. Actually we don't even know what we are observing 'it' with. Very simply, Science in its' 'rationality' has already determined not only what 'reality' is-and includes-but also what 'mind' is that is investigating 'it'.
We now do not have to ever, thanks to Science, define or re-define what 'reality' and 'mind' is. It is not that 'mind', 'spirit', 'consciousness', and 'soul' have nowhere to hide anymore...but that 'Science' has determined that they have all been examined and submitted to 'their' certainty. So Science can now put all questions or concerns about 'reality' behind it. It can go on from here in a strict 'technical' sense, unbothered about considerations which have effectively been closed. Very interesting. Science will no longer explore 'reality', 'mind', or 'spirit'. It doesn't seem very encouraging to 'open minded' persons hoping to look at everything...through Science. That road has been closed. Science already 'knows' all there is about these things. A 'true' objective and practical reality has been reached. Very interesting...and very funny, because it is ultimately irrational to be rational in this way.
By its' own defining terms, Science has become irrational. Again, change is of reality, permanence is of illusion. Science can now be considered as not subject to change in many of its' areas...and therefore 'not real'. That's where 'quantum' and mysticism take over, having collided with the very inert and 'unchanging' logic of Science. The 'door' is not only left open for 'the possibility of all possibilities', but a recognition that 'knowledge' itself is self limiting and finite (even spurious) when compared to 'mystery'...which is the ultimate unknowing.
Is this only 'playing with words'? Sure, but it's also of the same 'blundering' that Science is up against in its' limiting by language...even its' own. What's 'real' will always be composites of 'things' we can never take the mystery out of, or put a non-subjective understanding to. Self experience, if nothing else, teaches that 'things' are not of only 'this' or only 'that'. Hence there is no purely logical sense of something, exclusive of the subjective and hidden things, and visa versa...we think!
The 'world' is full of Catholics, Protestants, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, Atheists, Agnostics, Scientists, Mat Junkies, Spiritualists, and all assortments of philosophy and belief. They are still all in the 'world'. The problem inherent in any belief or life style system is that they all 'seem' to offer measures of need fulfillment. People settle or are, in one way or the other, 'forced' to the acceptance of relative measures of things.
It's always possible, due to the 'as if' metaprogram power backgrounds, to see great things in each relative measurement belief system. Metaprograms can also be seen as potent habit addictions, which collect 'power', for a while, over time periods....until they eventually start poisoning themselves. Sooner or later all 'realities', if not destroyed from without, become self contaminating and corruptive. Why? They are 'closed systems'. All closed systems block and confine 'the boundless'. They ultimately self destruct. We are now seeing the 'first wave' of that for 'our' reality island, now in the tumbler effect of incessant rapid change...in which 'we' find ourselves.
The 'big' lesson, for most, which had to be learned hadn't happened. 'Creativity' has infinite expressions on all its' levels...and beyond! Getting 'stuck' in one of them is not only not worth it, but prevents further spiritual growth. That is why the 'search and seeking' of higher consciousness is so vital in 'this' life. It is also why agents or systems which bind people to a 'one world view', for and from their own limited power gains, are the enemy. Seeking new 'pathways' for our own spiritual growth, not only helps us to 'bug out', but actually aids in finally smashing 'the box' itself. Eventually it will even free our captors, by showing them the 'light' they have denied and resisted all along.
Still the real adventure and the 'great escape' can't begin until we admit that no one person, no authority, no discipline, or no belief, can do it for us. There can be no complete part of the big picture which is revealed. It's hidden in the supreme mystery of 'creativity' itself. There are always available to 'opened ones', a few isolated though sometimes amazing puzzle pieces. The pieces, no matter how many and still incomplete, in 'this world of appearances' only prolongs the distortion...if we haven't advanced ourselves. The task of the 'seeker warrior' is to be awed, amazed, and enjoying at each higher consciousness-spiritual step...or 'stop'. But it should further impel the recognition that our supreme intent , by embracing a newly won innocence confirming that 'we know nothing', is to break free of the entire 'world' and merge with our ultimate and unknowable source. In the meantime we can decide to play the game or not play it at every juncture. We can decide in what manner we wish to approach or play. Our choices increase along with our expansion, in an upward spiraling toward a spirituality of escape from 'the world of appearances'.
Looking around and through our histories, the 'one worlders' perverse unnaturalness becomes quite visible. Man's 'sick' 'institutionalized' prevarication's, have provided the weapons used for primary control and power over us. Our spiritually dampening and demeaning systems perpetuate the 'collective' dulled consciousness. Individual 'searching' is more than frowned on, its' a deadly threat to the contrived sense of the universe...the place they have sealed us into. The artificial dividing of the world and its' people by a fostered intolerance, subverts our natural connection and spiritual bonds with each other. All the cruelty, disrespect, and disharmony in the world, is directly proportional to the degree we have been pushed and fallen into an ignorance of our spiritual natures.
Look for the signs and shadow of coming things in the swinging of cycles. In the era swing that is soon upon us, the rational world will go through transition. It is within the way of the changing of ages. Rationality and its' uncompromising reason will show itself unequal to oncoming challenges which the new age will bring upon this world. Such new-sprung consciousness alterations will become so evident and demonstrable, that 'pure reason' will recognize itself as incomplete and inadequate to any longer represent man's fuller scope. It and its' followers will not abdicate easily, and will have to be cast aside in blood before it too finally realizes the full and necessary envelopment of approaching change.
These are but a small part of ages old waiting prophecies from all ancient traditional teachings. All of them have seen the ushering in of a new human condition within a freshening and utter fracturing of a gratefully short reigning cycle of human misery...confined to 'a box'. Feel ahead for a new resonance with different energies and dimensions. Some already throb with it and probe its' edges, as many advanced 'seers' have done throughout this brutal age. But we will not, any of us, be the same when we arrive. We will have moved on to 'higher' things. We will look back on our 'dark age' only as a cruel but necessary part of our spiritual growth. For how can our spiritual growth be a complete circle and return, without appreciating and experiencing the whole of it all? Maybe though, we could have done it better.
And the innocence of the youthful 'seeker' which most of us lose, is our only hope and refuge for our present humanness and salvation. All the truly 'great', and mostly unknown people, were...and will continue to be for awhile...the innocent hearts caught up in an adult hell.
