This is exactly what I have been saying for the last few days. A staged attack, orchestrated by a government agency designed to prepare the public for more intrusive security and loss of civil rights.

This is very much an unfolding situation - it seems that after this journalist wrote this article and posted it on the 27th of December (and mentioned that he had insider sources in the airlines), there were follow-up consequences. Read them in order and you can see how rational and well-stated the posts are.

Christopher Elliot is the National Geographic Traveler magazine's troubleshooter and he also writes a travel column for MSNBC.

This morning a federal agent showed up at his door and served him with a subpoena!
