Possibly I've not said enough - such as the need to avoid getting caught in the solar radiation, as I think that it will damage the ability of the red blood cells to carry oxygen around the body, possibly with fatal results (I'm not sure).

Apocalypse... but not quite now
A 'Knowing' style apocalypse is in order in 2013, predict NASA scientists.
Although this does not mean that our world will overheat into a massive ball of molten rock, it will play havoc with the Earth's electromagnetism.
Communication and satellite systems, air travel and everything else electronic will just stop working. I do agree that we are way too reliant on technology, but that doesn't mean that I want to do without electric showers, trains or microwave popcorn.
