-In this most outspoken intervention on the issue of GM food, the Prince said that multi-national companies were conducting an experiment with nature which had gone ‘seriously wrong’.
Prince Charles stresses…that relying on ‘gigantic corporations’ for food, would result in ‘absolute disaster’.
He further stated…"that would be the absolute destruction of everything... and the classic way of ensuring there is no food in the future. "What we should be talking about is food security not food production…that is what matters and that is what people will not understand’.

*Speaking of genetics...if the ‘bugs’ don’t get us somehow...the new genetically modified crops will. Now this is surely absurd. How in the devil can modified grains, fruits, and vegetables ‘get us’? They’re only meant to improve the product and insure that we get higher yields, more digestive friendly, and newer pest resistant crops. Besides, they can give us better and different tastes and probably survive and grow in even the worst growing environments in the world. Ah, but they’ll all be patented. Huge agro-companies will be formed with all the legal and monopolistic patent rights to produce and sell these products....exclusively. We will all have to buy from these few producing companies that will control the world markets for food. They’ll literally have us by the throat...and the stomach.

All the now available staple crops, that have been developed and relied on for centuries, will be gone, (unless some of these species can be stored in special banks for future needs) and we’ll be left with only those offered to us and controlled by mega food companies. Well, we could still grow our own ‘organic’ vegetables in our backyard. Sorry, that won’t wash either. The winds blow and cross pollination occurs, and we’re left with something completely different then we started out growing.

We may even be liable to pay the big companies for intercepting patented genetic material. The traditional small family type farms are already almost squeezed out of the market place. Their final death knell is ready to strike; an end to a way of life and values now made ‘impractical’ and redundant. Where are our values and in what ‘bigger’ corporate baskets are we prepared to place them? Have we thought about that price?

There will be millions of acres of genetically modified crop fields...completely sterile and devoid of all life except for the GM crops themselves...covering the world. If they are indeed pest resistant, first the insects, the grubs, and worms and such will disappear, and then the birds and other of Nature’s things that feed up on them. Again, genocide against natural things. It will be the proof positive progression toward the ‘super plastic fantastic’ future which the ‘one worlders’ and their agendas would take us to. And, we end up with no choice about what we can eat or can be produced. And, we’re not even sure about what the ‘new foods’ will be doing to us. As of this writing, 50 percent of ALL Soya grown in America is genetically modified, and corn and its’ products are about there. The Soya makes its’ way to Europe in the form of Soya cakes and meal for livestock feeding here. Eating animals fed on GM foods, is the same worry. The popular ‘ground swell’ and protests in the United Kingdom about GM product concerns, have put so much pressure on the government that a law is now enforce making it mandatory for all foods to be labeled as to their GM ingredients. Where are the ‘silly’ absent American voices and outrage? Beware...industrial and government collusion, through both ‘blockbuster’ funding and repetitious personality blitzing, in a ‘social engineering’ program preparation of the public to accept GM foods. It’s the formula traditionally reliable for putting the odds in ‘their’ camp. The British public shot down Tony Blair’s, (the British Prime Minister) championing of GM foods. Maybe he has shares in GM companies? ‘Power to the people’, and in this case...’right on’ and hats off to those of South Devon.

And, a ‘well done’ should be extended to HRH Prince Charles of Great Britain for his outspokenness...and bringing this whole ‘unholy’ mess to people’s consciousness. If people want to invest in food companies, they would do well to put their money into ‘pure organic’ foods. The prices will come down, and health will go up. It’s either an organic future, or one completely unnatural, pesticide ridden, unknown ‘waiting to happen’ risks, and bio-destruction of the Natural environment. It doesn’t compute, that any of us would survive the death of Nature. Well Western Man has always thought of Nature as an enemy anyway. More later.

In Britain the leading big supermarket chains, responding to public surveys, focus groups, and plain outrage, are banning GM foods from their stores. A recent court case brought by the American Monsanto Company in Britain, to actually prevent people from picketing and demonstrating against their GM products...was ‘thrown out of court’. Does Monsanto really think people shouldn’t have any opinion other than theirs, or even have the basic right to protest. That type of bloated self interest and dictatorial disregard for the basic rights of others, is the issue we all are confronted with by ‘big business international’. What would happen , with that mentality, if such a mega company did get their way in a global control? And again, where are the American freedom fighters in all this?

Monsanto is also the subject of a court case in the States over its’ development of a GM product back in 1992, and which had been given FDA (Federal Drug Administration) approval for its’ production and use. Since 1993 their bovine somato-trophin (BST) hormone has been in widespread use among America’s dairy farmers. It is injected into cows about 3 months after they have calved, in order to increase their milk production. It does that, by up to 25 percent. It also produces a 25 percent increase in infertility, a 50 percent increase in lameness, and a huge increase in mastitis...according to surveys and reports from dairy men and veterinarian associations. It’s also responsible for the increase in stimulation of a hormone called IGF-1 which is common to both cows and humans. This pituitary hormone stimulates cells to grow and replicate at a faster rate.

We don’t know what this eventually will do because there have been no real studies. But we do know what theories about it can project. Any increase in cellular growth and replacement wears down the body’s ability to not make errors in the production of new cells. Errors in cell production cause cancerous and tumor cells. The original short toxicology study of the product on rats by Monsanto, seems to have been overlooked by the FDA...or at least that’s what they are saying. No independent research has been done. The approval went ahead anyway. A pure product such as milk, was subjected to a dumping in of GM hormones. Why, to increase milk production? It was to sell a product. It was for market influence and value. It was pure unadulterated, non-people considered capitalism. We don’t even need it...the same way we don’t need GM crops. The European Union had banned it until a later examination. The ban will be up soon.

Insecticide ‘genes’ modified into crops KILL the ‘natural world’. We now know that the pollen from GM ‘fields’, according to studies from a top American university, KILL caterpillars that would have become butterflies. All the suggestions to date, spell out and spotlight the dangers of ‘reductionist’ views. Their narrow concepts of not looking at nature holistically, and ‘only’ adding a block or building in a few ‘adjustments’ here and there, are no longer defensible. There are now ‘shown’ complications and, ‘total’ life altering and threatening, consequences to such ‘limited’ thinking. Everything is affected and infected, when ‘a simple pebble on the beach is moved’. Things are in full connection with each other. The ‘biggy’ worry, over a possible mutant end of the Nature which has always sustained us, becomes more than clear. Once ‘modified’ genes are unleashed into the environment...there can be no recall.

What’s the real problem here for all of Mankind, and why mention it here? It is all tied up in ‘one world’ things effecting our continuing ‘spiritual fall’...which has its’ reflections everywhere one now looks, and much more hidden from us in control over our lives. Come on, is this another paranoid invented ‘conspiracy thing’? How has this fulminated, where are the examples, and how can it’s features be perceived...nevermind corrected?

Easy! Global mega-corporations, tale-overs, giant mergers, and inter-company alliances, now have the absolute economic clout to do exactly what they want to. Any thing...like ‘recombinant BST’...can be guaranteed a place on the world shelf. No testing or studies have ever been done for ‘human safety’ of these products. And even more of a damming insult and unconcern...none are planned. They don’t need, any longer, to submit to public hearings or worry about public information. The whole process is internalized, outside of public view. No one ‘regulates the regulators’. It’s all out of control. The BST debacle, and it’s process of product approval, has recently shown us that members of our most ‘cherished’ regulatory agencies can and have been ‘gotten to’. Independent investigative reporting has turned up conflicts of interest, silencing of opponents, secrecy, plus economic and personal coercion. These new conglomerates (with both national and international tentacles) can by-pass anti-trust laws, push whole governments around, black mail and throttle union activity, ‘legally’ gag scientists and public servants, intimidate and blacklist employees, and pay off critics. Quite simply, the intense pressure to have products approved is rife and ‘truly’ conspiratorial.

What’s coming, if already not upon us, is something called ‘corporate democracy’...a contradiction in terms. It’s the new dictatorship and fascism, even more tightly shutting us in ‘the box’. WARNING: approval of products by government regulatory agencies is dangerous to your health, jobs, and freedom to resist. Please know that decisions may have been influenced and shoved through by economic pressure, influencing of regulatory agencies, and blackmail of both governments and individuals. Before it’s too late, ‘When in ROME...revolt!

Altruists and innocents in any of the ‘one world’ institutions, are looked at as ‘unrealistic’, dreamers, or out of date romanticists. Little wonder. These are the higher consciousness people, all through history, who have been the innovators and agents of struggle for human rights. They are now sidelined, overstepped, and growing shorter in supply. We are losing these beautiful impractical fools, not willing to accept the complete victory of dehumanizing conditions found in the ‘world box’. Governments and other institutions, without them, may not always (or increasingly seldom) act in the best interests of its’ citizens....commercial interests have no heed at all...unless forced. Now the very agencies set up to do that...are compromised.

The whole GM issue is just another camouflage and cover for the sad traditional hoodwinking of the world for generations. Millions of acres lay fallow. Farmers are paid to grow ‘nothing’. There are silos, warehouses, and ‘mountains’ full of corn, wheat, Soya, butter and other produce for example. We know there are reservoirs of stored wine and cooking oil. The list of food storage and surplus in almost every conceivable category, is no special secret. There is no food production crisis or shortage of foods. There is no intended thought about cheap world food. It has always, especially lately, been the market makers design to ‘make sure’ prices are kept artificially high.

And the farmer’s lobby has always been too influential, except in cases where they too are victimized selectively by big corporate thievery. GM advocates will stress the bigger yields per acre which these mutant foods can deliver. It’s a lie. Recently fields of GM crops have been shown to actually reduce the yield per acre. In the United States where controls are too relaxed...big business being in the drivers seat and the public fed naiveté ‘what you don’t know won’t hurt you’ programming...serious things have already begun to happen. GM herbs, produced in many cases without any license, have led to deaths. I said deaths.

What’s wrong with the idea of having scientists, businessmen, and government advocates of GM food submitting to being the testers of their ‘approved’ new products...under strict scientific and laboratory controls whereby they could only eat and drink GM foods over a period of years? It would finally make them accountable, and BEFORE unleashing anything on a captive ‘to be experimented on’ bunch of world feeders. Let’s insist on this. For a long number of years we were ‘fed’ the absolute scientific belief that high fiber increases in our diet would prevent bowel cancer. Commercial interests loaded us up with all varieties of high fiber products. We consumed mountains of it....mixed up with whey and anything else they wanted to throw in and get rid of for high profits. Now ‘it comes out’ that fiber won’t prevent bowel cancer at all, but just maybe it’s still good for coronary disease. We keep falling for science as the new God. I think this God has to submit to routine tight controls instead of faith and worship.

20 highly reputable international scientists, so far, have called for a moratorium on introducing GM foods into the human food chain...and their ranks are growing. Their voices, over the power groups and their political stooges, won’t be heard unless world governments sit up and take notice. In May of 1999 the British Medical Association gratefully stepped into the debate picture. Their advice...ban all GM crop production until health AND environmental impact studies can be satisfied. It will become highly unlikely that the British Government can ignore this warning from such a prestigious body.

Where is the American Medical Association? Have all Americans abdicated crusades and rebellion against the men in lab coats and business suits? Where are the rebels of conscience which made America great? But is it already too late? Globally, there are over 17 millions acres of GM crops planted. Each year people in the GM crop sowing agricultural industry must re-invest and buy the next years seeds from the patent holders.. You see, the GM crops...as a planned part of the developing technology will have added what is popularly known as a ‘terminator gene’...and will not produce seeds themselves for saving or re-use. However in October of 1999 Monsanto, under pressure, announced that the introduction of this ‘terminator’ would be withheld...until a future dateIt’s a lovely monopolistic trick for ‘repeat business’ each year for the food industry’s agricultural capitalistic boardroom dictatorships. The only problem ever with world food availability is the distribution problem, and the willingness to make it work. The amount of world food production has never been a problem.

Commercial pressure has forced genetically modified foods into the market place. We don’t need them. There’s no reason for them being here except by corporate and market driven pressure. They’re untested and potentially highly dangerous. In Britain in the House Of Commons, where all the elected officials and government men eat and drink, GM foods are banned in their restaurants and bars. But, we’re back to being laboratory animals for experimentation...at the mercy of the ‘un-naturalists’ and big money.

What’s going on here? Individuals have been deprived legally of the right of personal internal freedom, but ‘big daddy’ as our protective custodian can introduce unproved substances with unknown side effects into everyone’s systems. That should say something definitive about ‘one world’ views and its’ self serving authority. It should also tell us that they are ‘nuts’. But, that’s never been news to those of expanded-alternate consciousness, reflective persons, and ‘questers’. It’s time now for all the others to finally stand up and cross the line to a more natural, and ‘open’ side of the street. It can be done. It’s time for us all to run out into the streets and say ‘no more’, your franchise is canceled, and stop buying ‘their’ products. ‘They’ve’ been sterilizing our minds and freedoms for years, and now they want to ‘do it’ to the natural world. Nothing can stand against a people united in a ‘rights’ revolution. And, nothing can stand against the ‘worm’, when it turns.

As well as Monsanto developing GM seed that only grows once - so farmers are forced to buy it again for the next seasons harvest - whereas their original crops come back automatically year after year -
and of course the cost of production will hit us in the pocket.
As for trials in south england last year, there was no mention of what happened during the floods in the area that would have cross pollenated vast areas

Many issues regerding genetically modified foods trouble me. The possiblity of a mutation with other crops, long term effect on human health and, Monsanto, the chemical industry giant going into what is called life sciences.

Allowing such a company to move into a world of genetically manipulated organisms is ethically wrong. proffit will come before health, google "the Kemner brief" for more information on the unethical/fraudulent business dealings of Monsanto.

Monsanto was involved with the production of "Agent Orange," a defolient used during the vietnam war by the United State's, it was used to eradicate hiding places of the Viet Cong. Agent Orange contained traces of dioxin, a chemical unintentionally created in chemical manufacturing prosess when chlorine combines with other chemicals at high temperatures. Dioxin is know to cause cancer and birth defects in animals, so, vietnam veteran's who had contracted cancer and had been in areas sprayed with A.O persued compensation, with very little success, due to lack of human date.

However, in 1990, Dr Cate Jenkins,PhD. a senior chemist with Enviromental Protection agency said "there was evidence that Monsanto's studies was fraudulent, and if the study would have been done correctly, they would have shown a connection between dioxin and cancer in humans."

You have to ask oneself, should the billion dollar megacorp Monsanto be allowed control over our future food production?

The popular ‘ground swell’ and protests in the United Kingdom about GM product concerns, have put so much pressure on the government that a law is now enforce making it mandatory for all foods to be labeled as to their GM ingredients. Where are the ‘silly’ absent American voices and outrage? Beware...industrial and government collusion, through both ‘blockbuster’ funding and repetitious personality blitzing, in a ‘social engineering’ program preparation of the public to accept GM foods. It’s the formula traditionally reliable for putting the odds in ‘their’ camp. The British public shot down Tony Blair’s, (the British Prime Minister) championing of GM foods. Maybe he has shares in GM companies? ‘Power to the people’, and in this case...’right on’ and hats off to those of South Devon.

And, a ‘well done’ should be extended to HRH Prince Charles of Great Britain for his outspokenness...and bringing this whole ‘unholy’ mess to people’s consciousness. If people want to invest in food companies, they would do well to put their money into ‘pure organic’ foods. The prices will come down, and health will go up. It’s either an organic future, or one completely unnatural, pesticide ridden, unknown ‘waiting to happen’ risks, and bio-destruction of the Natural environment. It doesn’t compute, that any of us would survive the death of Nature. Well Western Man has always thought of Nature as an enemy anyway. More later.

In Britain the leading big supermarket chains, responding to public surveys, focus groups, and plain outrage, are banning GM foods from their stores. A recent court case brought by the American Monsanto Company in Britain, to actually prevent people from picketing and demonstrating against their GM products...was ‘thrown out of court’. Does Monsanto really think people shouldn’t have any opinion other than theirs, or even have the basic right to protest. That type of bloated self interest and dictatorial disregard for the basic rights of others, is the issue we all are confronted with by ‘big business international’. What would happen , with that mentality, if such a mega company did get their way in a global control? And again, where are the American freedom fighters in all this?

Monsanto is also the subject of a court case in the States over its’ development of a GM product back in 1992, and which had been given FDA (Federal Drug Administration) approval for its’ production and use. Since 1993 their bovine somato-trophin (BST) hormone has been in widespread use among America’s dairy farmers. It is injected into cows about 3 months after they have calved, in order to increase their milk production. It does that, by up to 25 percent. It also produces a 25 percent increase in infertility, a 50 percent increase in lameness, and a huge increase in mastitis...according to surveys and reports from dairy men and veterinarian associations. It’s also responsible for the increase in stimulation of a hormone called IGF-1 which is common to both cows and humans. This pituitary hormone stimulates cells to grow and replicate at a faster rate.

We don’t know what this eventually will do because there have been no real studies. But we do know what theories about it can project. Any increase in cellular growth and replacement wears down the body’s ability to not make errors in the production of new cells. Errors in cell production cause cancerous and tumor cells. The original short toxicology study of the product on rats by Monsanto, seems to have been overlooked by the FDA...or at least that’s what they are saying. No independent research has been done. The approval went ahead anyway. A pure product such as milk, was subjected to a dumping in of GM hormones. Why, to increase milk production? It was to sell a product. It was for market influence and value. It was pure unadulterated, non-people considered capitalism. We don’t even need it...the same way we don’t need GM crops. The European Union had banned it until a later examination. The ban will be up soon.

Insecticide ‘genes’ modified into crops KILL the ‘natural world’. We now know that the pollen from GM ‘fields’, according to studies from a top American university, KILL caterpillars that would have become butterflies. All the suggestions to date, spell out and spotlight the dangers of ‘reductionist’ views. Their narrow concepts of not looking at nature holistically, and ‘only’ adding a block or building in a few ‘adjustments’ here and there, are no longer defensible. There are now ‘shown’ complications and, ‘total’ life altering and threatening, consequences to such ‘limited’ thinking. Everything is affected and infected, when ‘a simple pebble on the beach is moved’. Things are in full connection with each other. The ‘biggy’ worry, over a possible mutant end of the Nature which has always sustained us, becomes more than clear. Once ‘modified’ genes are unleashed into the environment...there can be no recall.

What’s the real problem here for all of Mankind, and why mention it here? It is all tied up in ‘one world’ things effecting our continuing ‘spiritual fall’...which has its’ reflections everywhere one now looks, and much more hidden from us in control over our lives. Come on, is this another paranoid invented ‘conspiracy thing’? How has this fulminated, where are the examples, and how can it’s features be perceived...nevermind corrected?

Easy! Global mega-corporations, tale-overs, giant mergers, and inter-company alliances, now have the absolute economic clout to do exactly what they want to. Any thing...like ‘recombinant BST’...can be guaranteed a place on the world shelf. No testing or studies have ever been done for ‘human safety’ of these products. And even more of a damming insult and unconcern...none are planned. They don’t need, any longer, to submit to public hearings or worry about public information. The whole process is internalized, outside of public view. No one ‘regulates the regulators’. It’s all out of control. The BST debacle, and it’s process of product approval, has recently shown us that members of our most ‘cherished’ regulatory agencies can and have been ‘gotten to’. Independent investigative reporting has turned up conflicts of interest, silencing of opponents, secrecy, plus economic and personal coercion. These new conglomerates (with both national and international tentacles) can by-pass anti-trust laws, push whole governments around, black mail and throttle union activity, ‘legally’ gag scientists and public servants, intimidate and blacklist employees, and pay off critics. Quite simply, the intense pressure to have products approved is rife and ‘truly’ conspiratorial.

What’s coming, if already not upon us, is something called ‘corporate democracy’...a contradiction in terms. It’s the new dictatorship and fascism, even more tightly shutting us in ‘the box’. WARNING: approval of products by government regulatory agencies is dangerous to your health, jobs, and freedom to resist. Please know that decisions may have been influenced and shoved through by economic pressure, influencing of regulatory agencies, and blackmail of both governments and individuals. Before it’s too late, ‘When in ROME...revolt!

Altruists and innocents in any of the ‘one world’ institutions, are looked at as ‘unrealistic’, dreamers, or out of date romanticists. Little wonder. These are the higher consciousness people, all through history, who have been the innovators and agents of struggle for human rights. They are now sidelined, overstepped, and growing shorter in supply. We are losing these beautiful impractical fools, not willing to accept the complete victory of dehumanizing conditions found in the ‘world box’. Governments and other institutions, without them, may not always (or increasingly seldom) act in the best interests of its’ citizens....commercial interests have no heed at all...unless forced. Now the very agencies set up to do that...are compromised.

The whole GM issue is just another camouflage and cover for the sad traditional hoodwinking of the world for generations. Millions of acres lay fallow. Farmers are paid to grow ‘nothing’. There are silos, warehouses, and ‘mountains’ full of corn, wheat, Soya, butter and other produce for example. We know there are reservoirs of stored wine and cooking oil. The list of food storage and surplus in almost every conceivable category, is no special secret. There is no food production crisis or shortage of foods. There is no intended thought about cheap world food. It has always, especially lately, been the market makers design to ‘make sure’ prices are kept artificially high.

And the farmer’s lobby has always been too influential, except in cases where they too are victimized selectively by big corporate thievery. GM advocates will stress the bigger yields per acre which these mutant foods can deliver. It’s a lie. Recently fields of GM crops have been shown to actually reduce the yield per acre. In the United States where controls are too relaxed...big business being in the drivers seat and the public fed naiveté ‘what you don’t know won’t hurt you’ programming...serious things have already begun to happen. GM herbs, produced in many cases without any license, have led to deaths. I said deaths.

What’s wrong with the idea of having scientists, businessmen, and government advocates of GM food submitting to being the testers of their ‘approved’ new products...under strict scientific and laboratory controls whereby they could only eat and drink GM foods over a period of years? It would finally make them accountable, and BEFORE unleashing anything on a captive ‘to be experimented on’ bunch of world feeders. Let’s insist on this. For a long number of years we were ‘fed’ the absolute scientific belief that high fiber increases in our diet would prevent bowel cancer. Commercial interests loaded us up with all varieties of high fiber products. We consumed mountains of it....mixed up with whey and anything else they wanted to throw in and get rid of for high profits. Now ‘it comes out’ that fiber won’t prevent bowel cancer at all, but just maybe it’s still good for coronary disease. We keep falling for science as the new God. I think this God has to submit to routine tight controls instead of faith and worship.

20 highly reputable international scientists, so far, have called for a moratorium on introducing GM foods into the human food chain...and their ranks are growing. Their voices, over the power groups and their political stooges, won’t be heard unless world governments sit up and take notice. In May of 1999 the British Medical Association gratefully stepped into the debate picture. Their advice...ban all GM crop production until health AND environmental impact studies can be satisfied. It will become highly unlikely that the British Government can ignore this warning from such a prestigious body.

Where is the American Medical Association? Have all Americans abdicated crusades and rebellion against the men in lab coats and business suits? Where are the rebels of conscience which made America great? But is it already too late? Globally, there are over 17 millions acres of GM crops planted. Each year people in the GM crop sowing agricultural industry must re-invest and buy the next years seeds from the patent holders.. You see, the GM crops...as a planned part of the developing technology will have added what is popularly known as a ‘terminator gene’...and will not produce seeds themselves for saving or re-use. However in October of 1999 Monsanto, under pressure, announced that the introduction of this ‘terminator’ would be withheld...until a future dateIt’s a lovely monopolistic trick for ‘repeat business’ each year for the food industry’s agricultural capitalistic boardroom dictatorships. The only problem ever with world food availability is the distribution problem, and the willingness to make it work. The amount of world food production has never been a problem.

Commercial pressure has forced genetically modified foods into the market place. We don’t need them. There’s no reason for them being here except by corporate and market driven pressure. They’re untested and potentially highly dangerous. In Britain in the House Of Commons, where all the elected officials and government men eat and drink, GM foods are banned in their restaurants and bars. But, we’re back to being laboratory animals for experimentation...at the mercy of the ‘un-naturalists’ and big money.

What’s going on here? Individuals have been deprived legally of the right of personal internal freedom, but ‘big daddy’ as our protective custodian can introduce unproved substances with unknown side effects into everyone’s systems. That should say something definitive about ‘one world’ views and its’ self serving authority. It should also tell us that they are ‘nuts’. But, that’s never been news to those of expanded-alternate consciousness, reflective persons, and ‘questers’. It’s time now for all the others to finally stand up and cross the line to a more natural, and ‘open’ side of the street. It can be done. It’s time for us all to run out into the streets and say ‘no more’, your franchise is canceled, and stop buying ‘their’ products. ‘They’ve’ been sterilizing our minds and freedoms for years, and now they want to ‘do it’ to the natural world. Nothing can stand against a people united in a ‘rights’ revolution. And, nothing can stand against the ‘worm’, when it turns.

The Russian scientist planned a simple experiment to see if eating genetically modified (GM) soy might influence offspring. What she got, however, was an astounding result that may threaten a multi-billion dollar industry.

Irina Ermakova, a leading scientist at the Institute of Higher Nervous Activity and Neurophysiology of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), added GM soy flour (5-7 grams) to the diet of female rats. Other females were fed non-GM soy or no soy at all. The experimental diet began two weeks before the rats conceived and continued through pregnancy and nursing.

Ermakova's first surprise came when her pregnant rats started giving birth. Some pups from GM-fed mothers were quite a bit smaller. After 2 weeks, 36% of them weighed less than 20 grams compared to about 6% from the other groups.

But the real shock came when the rats started dying. Within three weeks, 25 of the 45 (55.6%) rats from the GM soy group died compared to only 3 of 33 (9%) from the non-GM soy group and 3 of 44 (6.8%) from the non-soy controls.

Ermakova preserved several major organs from the mother rats and offspring, drew up designs for a detailed organ analysis, created plans to repeat and expand the feeding trial, and promptly ran out of research money. The $70,000 needed was not expected to arrive for a year. Therefore, when she was invited to present her research at a symposium organized by the National Association for Genetic Security, Ermakova wrote "PRELIMINARY STUDIES" on the top of her paper. She presented it on October 10, 2005 at a session devoted to the risks of GM food.

Her findings are hardly welcome by an industry already steeped in controversy.

GM Soy's Divisive Past

The soy she was testing was Monsanto's Roundup Ready variety. Its DNA has bacterial genes added that allow the soy plant to survive applications of Monsanto's "Roundup" brand herbicide. About 85% of the soy gown in the US is Roundup Ready. Since soy derivatives, including oil, flour and lecithin, are found in the majority of processed foods sold in the US, many Americans eat ingredients derived from Roundup Ready soy everyday.

The FDA does not require any safety tests on genetically modified foods. If Monsanto or other biotech companies declare their foods safe, the agency has no further questions. The rationale for this hands-off position is a sentence in the FDAs 1992 policy that states, "The agency is not aware of any information showing that foods derived by these new methods differ from other foods in any meaningful or uniform way." The statement, it turns out, was deceptive. Documents made public from a lawsuit years later revealed that the FDA's own experts agreed that GM foods are different and might lead to hard-to-detect allergens, toxins, new diseases or nutritional problems. They had urged their superiors to require long-term safety studies, but were ignored. The person in charge of FDA policy was, conveniently, Monsanto's former attorney (and later their vice president). One FDA microbiologist described the GM food policy as "just a political document" without scientific basis, and warned that industry would "not do the tests that they would normally do" since the FDA didn't require any. He was correct.

There have been less than 20 published, peer-reviewed animal feeding safety studies and no human clinical trials�in spite of the fact that millions of people eat GM soy, corn, cotton, or canola daily. There are no adequate tests on "biochemistry, immunology, tissue pathology, gut function, liver function and kidney function," and animal feeding studies are too short to adequately test for cancer, reproductive problems, or effects in the next generation. This makes Ermakova's research particularly significant. It's the first of its kind.

Past Studies Show Significant Effects

Other studies on Roundup Ready soy also raise serious questions. Research on the liver, the body's major de-toxifier, showed that rats fed GM soy developed misshapen nuclei and other cellular anomalies. This indicates increased metabolic activity, probably resulting from a major insult to that organ. Rats also showed changes in the pancreas, including a huge drop in the production of a major enzyme (alpha-amylase), which could inhibit digestion. Cooked GM soy contains about twice the amount of soy lecithin, which can also block nutrient assimilation. And one study showed that GM soy has 12-14% less isoflavones, which are touted as cancer fighting.

An animal feeding study published by Monsanto showed no apparent problems with GM soy, but their research has been severely criticized as rigged to avoid finding problems. Monsanto used mature animals instead of young, more sensitive ones, diluted their GM soy up to 12-fold, used too much protein, never weighed the organs, and had huge variations in starting weights. The study's nutrient comparison between GM and non-GM soy revealed significant differences in the ash, fat, and carbohydrate content, lower levels of protein, a fatty acid, and phenylalanine. Monsanto researchers had actually omitted the most incriminating nutritional differences, which were later discovered and made public. For example, the published paper showed a 27% increase in a known allergen, trypsin inhibitor, while the recovered data raised that to a 3-fold or 7-fold increase, after the soy was cooked. This might explain why soy allergies in the UK skyrocketed by 50% soon after GM soy was introduced.

The gene that is inserted into GM soy produces a protein with two sections that are identical to known allergens. This might also account for the increased allergy rate. Furthermore, the only human feeding trial ever conducted confirmed that this inserted gene transfers into the DNA of bacteria inside the intestines. This means that long after you decide to stop eating GM soy, your own gut bacteria may still be producing this potentially allergenic protein inside your digestive tract.

The migration of genes might influence offspring. German scientists found fragments of the DNA fed to pregnant mice in the brains of their newborn. Fragments of genetically modified DNA were also found in the blood, spleen, liver and kidneys of piglets that were fed GM corn. It was not clear if the GM genes actually entered the DNA of the animal, but scientists speculate that if it were to integrate into the sex organ cells, it might impact offspring.

The health of newborns might also be affected by toxins, allergens, or anti-nutrients in the mother's diet. These may be created in GM crops, due to unpredictable alterations in their DNA. The process of gene insertion can delete one or more of the DNA's own natural genes, scramble them, turn them off, or permanently turn them on. It can also change the expression levels of hundreds of genes. And growing the transformed cell into a GM plant through a process called tissue culture can create hundreds or thousands of additional mutations throughout the DNA.

Most of these possibilities have not been properly evaluated in Roundup Ready soy. We don't know how many mutations or altered gene expressions are found in its DNA. Years after it was marketed, however, scientists did discover a section of natural soy DNA that was scrambled and two additional fragments of the foreign gene that had escaped Monsanto's detection.

Those familiar with the body of GM safety studies are often astounded by their superficiality. Moreover, several scientists who discovered incriminating evidence or even expressed concerns about the technology have been fired, threatened, stripped of responsibilities, or censured. And when problems do arise, they are not followed up. For example, animals fed GM crops developed potentially precancerous cell growth, smaller brains, livers and testicles, damaged immune systems, bigger livers, partial atrophy of the liver, lesions in the livers, stomachs, and kidneys, inflammation of the kidneys, problems with their blood cells, higher blood sugar levels, and unexplained increases in the death rate. (See Spilling the Beans, August 2004.) None have been adequately followed-up or accounted for.

Ermakova's research, however, will likely change that. That's because her study is easy to repeat and its results are so extreme. A 55.6% mortality rate is enormous and very worrisome. Repeating the study is the only reasonable option.

American Academy of Environmental Medicine
Urges NIH to Follow-up Study

I presented Dr. Ermakova's findings, with her permission, at the annual conference of the American Academy of Environmental Medicine (AAEM) in Tucson on October 27, 2005. In response, the AAEM board passed a resolution asking the US National Institutes of Health (NIH) to sponsor an immediate, independent follow-up of the study. Dr. Jim Willoughby, the Academy's president, said, "Genetically modified soy, corn, canola, and cottonseed oil are being consumed daily by a significant proportion of our population. We need rigorous, independent and long-term studies to evaluate if these foods put the population at risk."

Unfortunately, there is a feature about GM crops that makes even follow-up studies a problem. In 2003, a French laboratory analyzed the inserted genes in five GM varieties, including Roundup Ready soybeans. In each case, the genetic sequence was different than that which had been described by the biotech companies years earlier. Had all the companies made a mistake? That's unlikely. Rather, the inserted genes probably rearranged over time. A Brussels lab confirmed that the genetic sequences were different than what was originally listed. But the sequences discovered in Brussels didn't all match those found by the French. This suggests that the inserted genes are unstable and can change in different ways. It also means that they are creating new proteins�ones that were never intended or tested. The Roundup Ready soybeans used in the Russian test may therefore be quite different from the Roundup Ready soybeans used in follow-up studies.

Unstable genes make accurate safety testing impossible. It also may explain some of the many problems reported about GM foods. For example, nearly 25 farmers in the US and Canada say that certain GM corn varieties caused their pigs to become sterile, have false pregnancies, or give birth to bags of water. A farmer in Germany claims that a certain variety of GM corn killed 12 of his cows and caused others to fall sick. And Filipinos living next to a GM cornfield developed skin, respiratory, and intestinal symptoms and fever, while the corn was pollinating. The mysterious symptoms returned the following year, also during pollination, and blood tests on 39 of the Filipinos showed an immune response to the Bt toxin�created by the GM corn.

Terminator seed research continuing

Despite the world moratorium imposed on this "restricted use" technology, research is still being carried out in Canada, the United States and Europe in laboratories and in one case, even a greenhouse, said Pederson.
At COP8, ‘the central, strategic battle will be waged around seeds’, pitting peasant farmers who have produced and improved seeds for 10,000 years, thus expanding their genetic diversity, against the transnational corporations that want to control the entire agricultural chain from production to marketing, said Baggio.

*Speaking of genetics...if the ‘bugs’ don’t get us somehow...the new genetically modified crops will. Now this is surely absurd. How in the devil can modified grains, fruits, and vegetables ‘get us’? They’re only meant to improve the product and insure that we get higher yields, more digestive friendly, and newer pest resistant crops. Besides, they can give us better and different tastes and probably survive and grow in even the worst growing environments in the world. Ah, but they’ll all be patented. Huge agro-companies will be formed with all the legal and monopolistic patent rights to produce and sell these products....exclusively. We will all have to buy from these few producing companies that will control the world markets for food. They’ll literally have us by the throat...and the stomach.

All the now available staple crops, that have been developed and relied on for centuries, will be gone, (unless some of these species can be stored in special banks for future needs) and we’ll be left with only those offered to us and controlled by mega food companies. Well, we could still grow our own ‘organic’ vegetables in our backyard. Sorry, that won’t wash either. The winds blow and cross pollination occurs, and we’re left with something completely different then we started out growing.

We may even be liable to pay the big companies for intercepting patented genetic material. The traditional small family type farms are already almost squeezed out of the market place. Their final death knell is ready to strike; an end to a way of life and values now made ‘impractical’ and redundant. Where are our values and in what ‘bigger’ corporate baskets are we prepared to place them? Have we thought about that price?

There will be millions of acres of genetically modified crop fields...completely sterile and devoid of all life except for the GM crops themselves...covering the world. If they are indeed pest resistant, first the insects, the grubs, and worms and such will disappear, and then the birds and other of Nature’s things that feed up on them. Again, genocide against natural things. It will be the proof positive progression toward the ‘super plastic fantastic’ future which the ‘one worlders’ and their agendas would take us to. And, we end up with no choice about what we can eat or can be produced. And, we’re not even sure about what the ‘new foods’ will be doing to us. Rats, when fed on GM (genetically modified) potatoes developed critical internal organ damage, as well as immune system injury.

Maybe he has shares in GM companies? ‘Power to the people’, and in this case...’right on’ and hats off to those of South Devon.

And, a ‘well done’ should be extended to HRH Prince Charles of Great Britain for his outspokenness...and bringing this whole ‘unholy’ mess to people’s consciousness. If people want to invest in food companies, they would do well to put their money into ‘pure organic’ foods. The prices will come down, and health will go up. It’s either an organic future, or one completely unnatural, pesticide ridden, unknown ‘waiting to happen’ risks, and bio-destruction of the Natural environment. It doesn’t compute, that any of us would survive the death of Nature. Well Western Man has always thought of Nature as an enemy anyway. More later.

A recent court case brought by the American Monsanto Company in Britain, to actually prevent people from picketing and demonstrating against their GM products...was ‘thrown out of court’. Does Monsanto really think people shouldn’t have any opinion other than theirs, or even have the basic right to protest. That type of bloated self interest and dictatorial disregard for the basic rights of others, is the issue we all are confronted with by ‘big business international’. What would happen , with that mentality, if such a mega company did get their way in a global control? And again, where are the American freedom fighters in all this?

Monsanto is also the subject of a court case in the States over its’ development of a GM product back in 1992, and which had been given FDA (Federal Drug Administration) approval for its’ production and use. Since 1993 their bovine somato-trophin (BST) hormone has been in widespread use among America’s dairy farmers. It is injected into cows about 3 months after they have calved, in order to increase their milk production. It does that, by up to 25 percent. It also produces a 25 percent increase in infertility, a 50 percent increase in lameness, and a huge increase in mastitis...according to surveys and reports from dairy men and veterinarian associations. It’s also responsible for the increase in stimulation of a hormone called IGF-1 which is common to both cows and humans. This pituitary hormone stimulates cells to grow and replicate at a faster rate.

We don’t know what this eventually will do because there have been no real studies. But we do know what theories about it can project. Any increase in cellular growth and replacement wears down the body’s ability to not make errors in the production of new cells. Errors in cell production cause cancerous and tumor cells. The original short toxicology study of the product on rats by Monsanto, seems to have been overlooked by the FDA...or at least that’s what they are saying. No independent research has been done. The approval went ahead anyway. A pure product such as milk, was subjected to a dumping in of GM hormones. Why, to increase milk production? It was to sell a product. Independent investigative reporting has turned up conflicts of interest, silencing of opponents, secrecy, plus economic and personal coercion. These new conglomerates (with both national and international tentacles) can by-pass anti-trust laws, push whole governments around, black mail and throttle union activity, ‘legally’ gag scientists and public servants, intimidate and blacklist employees, and pay off critics. Quite simply, the intense pressure to have products approved is rife and ‘truly’ conspiratorial.

What’s coming, if already not upon us, is something called ‘corporate democracy’...a contradiction in terms. It’s the new dictatorship and fascism, even more tightly shutting us in ‘the box’. WARNING: approval of products by government regulatory agencies is dangerous to your health, jobs, and freedom to resist. Please know that decisions may have been influenced and shoved through by economic pressure, influencing of regulatory agencies, and blackmail of both governments and individuals. Before it’s too late, ‘When in ROME...revolt!

It would finally make them accountable, and BEFORE unleashing anything on a captive ‘to be experimented on’ bunch of world feeders. Let’s insist on this. For a long number of years we were ‘fed’ the absolute scientific belief that high fiber increases in our diet would prevent bowel cancer. Commercial interests loaded us up with all varieties of high fiber products. We consumed mountains of it....mixed up with whey and anything else they wanted to throw in and get rid of for high profits. Now ‘it comes out’ that fiber won’t prevent bowel cancer at all, but just maybe it’s still good for coronary disease. We keep falling for science as the new God. I think this God has to submit to routine tight controls instead of faith and worship.

20 highly reputable international scientists, so far, have called for a moratorium on introducing GM foods into the human food chain...and their ranks are growing. Their voices, over the power groups and their political stooges, won’t be heard unless world governments sit up and take notice. In May of 1999 the British Medical Association gratefully stepped into the debate picture. Their advice...ban all GM crop production until health AND environmental impact studies can be satisfied. It will become highly unlikely that the British Government can ignore this warning from such a prestigious body.

Where is the American Medical Association? Have all Americans abdicated crusades and rebellion against the men in lab coats and business suits? Where are the rebels of conscience which made America great? But is it already too late? Globally, there are over 17 millions acres of GM crops planted. Each year people in the GM crop sowing agricultural industry must re-invest and buy the next years seeds from the patent holders.. You see, the GM crops...as a planned part of the developing technology will have added what is popularly known as a ‘terminator gene’...and will not produce seeds themselves for saving or re-use. However in October of 1999 Monsanto, under pressure, announced that the introduction of this ‘terminator’ would be withheld...until a future dateIt’s a lovely monopolistic trick for ‘repeat business’ each year for the food industry’s agricultural capitalistic boardroom dictatorships. The only problem ever with world food availability is the distribution problem, and the willingness to make it work. The amount of world food production has never been a problem.

Commercial pressure has forced genetically modified foods into the market place. We don’t need them. There’s no reason for them being here except by corporate and market driven pressure. They’re untested and potentially highly dangerous. In Britain in the House Of Commons, where all the elected officials and government men eat and drink, GM foods are banned in their restaurants and bars. But, we’re back to being laboratory animals for experimentation...at the mercy of the ‘un-naturalists’ and big money.

What’s going on here? Individuals have been deprived legally of the right of personal internal freedom, but ‘big daddy’ as our protective custodian can introduce unproved substances with unknown side effects into everyone’s systems. That should say something definitive about ‘one world’ views and its’ self serving authority. It should also tell us that they are ‘nuts’. But, that’s never been news to those of expanded-alternate consciousness, reflective persons, and ‘questers’. It’s time now for all the others to finally stand up and cross the line to a more natural, and ‘open’ side of the street. It can be done. It’s time for us all to run out into the streets and say ‘no more’, your franchise is canceled, and stop buying ‘their’ products. ‘They’ve’ been sterilizing our minds and freedoms for years, and now they want to ‘do it’ to the natural world. All the now available staple crops, that have been developed and relied on for centuries, will be gone, (unless some of these species can be stored in special banks for future needs) and we’ll be left with only those offered to us and controlled by mega food companies. Well, we could still grow our own ‘organic’ vegetables in our backyard. Sorry, that won’t wash either. The winds blow and cross pollination occurs, and we’re left with something completely different then we started out growing.

We may even be liable to pay the big companies for intercepting patented genetic material. The traditional small family type farms are already almost squeezed out of the market place. Their final death knell is ready to strike; an end to a way of life and values now made ‘impractical’ and redundant. Where are our values and in what ‘bigger’ corporate baskets are we prepared to place them? Have we thought about that price?

Each year people in the GM crop sowing agricultural industry must re-invest and buy the next years seeds from the patent holders.. You see, the GM crops...as a planned part of the developing technology will have added what is popularly known as a ‘terminator gene’...and will not produce seeds themselves for saving or re-use. However in October of 1999 Monsanto, under pressure, announced that the introduction of this ‘terminator’ would be withheld...until a future dateIt’s a lovely monopolistic trick for ‘repeat business’ each year for the food industry’s agricultural capitalistic boardroom dictatorships. The only problem ever with world food availability is the distribution problem, and the willingness to make it work. The amount of world food production has never been a problem.

Commercial pressure has forced genetically modified foods into the market place. We don’t need them. There’s no reason for them being here except by corporate and market driven pressure. They’re untested and potentially highly dangerous. In Britain in the House Of Commons, where all the elected officials and government men eat and drink, GM foods are banned in their restaurants and bars. But, we’re back to being laboratory animals for experimentation...at the mercy of the ‘un-naturalists’ and big money.

What’s going on here? Individuals have been deprived legally of the right of personal internal freedom, but ‘big daddy’ as our protective custodian can introduce unproved substances with unknown side effects into everyone’s systems. That should say something definitive about ‘one world’ views and its’ self serving authority. It should also tell us that they are ‘nuts’. But, that’s never been news to those of expanded-alternate consciousness, reflective persons, and ‘questers’. It’s time now for all the others to finally stand up and cross the line to a more natural, and ‘open’ side of the street. It can be done. It’s time for us all to run out into the streets and say ‘no more’, your franchise is canceled, and stop buying ‘their’ products. ‘They’ve’ been sterilizing our minds and freedoms for years, and now they want to ‘do it’ to the natural world. Nothing can stand against a people united in a ‘rights’ revolution. And, nothing can stand against the ‘worm’, when it turns.

Genetic modification actually cuts the productivity of crops, an authoritative new study shows…undermining repeated claims that a switch to the controversial technology is needed to solve the growing world food crisis.

The study – carried out over the past three years at the University of Kansas in the US grain belt – has found that GM soya produces about 10 per cent less food than its conventional equivalent, contradicting assertions by advocates of the technology that it increases yields.

Professor Barney Gordon, of the university's department of agronomy, said he started the research – reported in the journal Better Crops – because many farmers who had changed over to the GM crop had ‘noticed that yields are not as high as expected even under optimal conditions’. He added: ‘People were asking the question 'how come I don't get as high a yield as I used to’?

He grew a Monsanto GM soybean and an almost identical conventional variety in the same field. The modified crop produced only 70 bushels of grain per acre, compared with 77 bushels from the non-GM one.

The GM crop – engineered to resist Monsanto's own weed killer, Roundup – recovered only when he added extra manganese…leading to suggestions that the modification hindered the crop's take-up of the essential element from the soil. Even with the addition it brought the GM soya's yield to equal that of the conventional one…rather than surpassing it.

The new study confirms earlier research at the University of Nebraska…which found that another Monsanto GM soya produced 6 per cent less than its closest conventional relative, and 11 per cent less than the best non-GM soya available.

The Nebraska study suggested that two factors are at work. First, it takes time to modify a plant and, while this is being done, better conventional ones are being developed. This is acknowledged even by the fervently pro-GM US Department of Agriculture, which has admitted that the time lag could lead to a ‘decrease’ in yields.

But the fact that GM crops did worse than their near-identical non-GM counterparts suggest that a second factor is also at work, and that the very process of modification depresses productivity. The new Kansas study both confirms this and suggests how it is happening.

A similar situation seems to have happened with GM cotton in the US, where the total US crop declined even as GM technology took over.

Monsanto said yesterday that it was surprised by the extent of the decline found by the Kansas study, but not by the fact that the yields had dropped. It said that the soya had not been engineered to increase yields, and that it was now developing one that would.

Critics doubt whether the company will achieve this, saying that it requires more complex modification. And Lester Brown, president of the Earth Policy Institute in Washington…and who was one of the first to predict the current food crisis…said that the physiology of plants was now reaching the limits of the productivity that could be achieved.

A former champion crop grower himself, he drew the comparison with human runners. Since Roger Bannister ran the first four-minute mile more than 50 years ago, the best time has improved only modestly . ‘Despite all the advances in training, no one contemplates a three-minute mile’.

Last week the biggest study of its kind ever conducted – the International Assessment of Agricultural Science and Technology for Development – concluded that GM was not the answer to world hunger.

*Speaking of genetics...if the ‘bugs’ don’t get us somehow...the new genetically modified crops will. Now this is surely absurd. How in the devil can modified grains, fruits, and vegetables ‘get us’? They’re only meant to improve the product and insure that we get higher yields, more digestive friendly, and newer pest resistant crops. Besides, they can give us better and different tastes and probably survive and grow in even the worst growing environments in the world. Ah, but they’ll all be patented. Huge agro-companies will be formed with all the legal and monopolistic patent rights to produce and sell these products....exclusively. We will all have to buy from these few producing companies that will control the world markets for food. They’ll literally have us by the throat...and the stomach.

All the now available staple crops, that have been developed and relied on for centuries, will be gone, (unless some of these species can be stored in special banks for future needs) and we’ll be left with only those offered to us and controlled by mega food companies. Well, we could still grow our own ‘organic’ vegetables in our backyard. Sorry, that won’t wash either. The winds blow and cross pollination occurs, and we’re left with something completely different then we started out growing.

We may even be liable to pay the big companies for intercepting patented genetic material. The traditional small family type farms are already almost squeezed out of the market place. Their final death knell is ready to strike; an end to a way of life and values now made ‘impractical’ and redundant. Where are our values and in what ‘bigger’ corporate baskets are we prepared to place them? Have we thought about that price?

There will be millions of acres of genetically modified crop fields...completely sterile and devoid of all life except for the GM crops themselves...covering the world. If they are indeed pest resistant, first the insects, the grubs, and worms and such will disappear, and then the birds and other of Nature’s things that feed up on them. Again, genocide against natural things. It will be the proof positive progression toward the ‘super plastic fantastic’ future which the ‘one worlders’ and their agendas would take us to. And, we end up with no choice about what we can eat or can be produced. And, we’re not even sure about what the ‘new foods’ will be doing to us. Rats, when fed on GM (genetically modified) potatoes developed critical internal organ damage, as well as immune system injury.

As of this writing, 50 percent of ALL Soya grown in America is genetically modified, and corn and its’ products are about there. The Soya makes its’ way to Europe in the form of Soya cakes and meal for livestock feeding here. Eating animals fed on GM foods, is the same worry. The popular ‘ground swell’ and protests in the United Kingdom about GM product concerns, have put so much pressure on the government that a law is now enforce making it mandatory for all foods to be labeled as to their GM ingredients. Where are the ‘silly’ absent American voices and outrage? Beware...industrial and government collusion, through both ‘blockbuster’ funding and repetitious personality blitzing, in a ‘social engineering’ program preparation of the public to accept GM foods. It’s the formula traditionally reliable for putting the odds in ‘their’ camp. The British public shot down Tony Blair’s, (the British Prime Minister) championing of GM foods. Maybe he has shares in GM companies? ‘Power to the people’, and in this case...’right on’ and hats off to those of South Devon.

And, a ‘well done’ should be extended to HRH Prince Charles of Great Britain for his outspokenness...and bringing this whole ‘unholy’ mess to people’s consciousness. If people want to invest in food companies, they would do well to put their money into ‘pure organic’ foods. The prices will come down, and health will go up. It’s either an organic future, or one completely unnatural, pesticide ridden, unknown ‘waiting to happen’ risks, and bio-destruction of the Natural environment. It doesn’t compute, that any of us would survive the death of Nature. Well Western Man has always thought of Nature as an enemy anyway. More later.

In Britain the leading big supermarket chains, responding to public surveys, focus groups, and plain outrage, are banning GM foods from their stores. A recent court case brought by the American Monsanto Company in Britain, to actually prevent people from picketing and demonstrating against their GM products...was ‘thrown out of court’. Does Monsanto really think people shouldn’t have any opinion other than theirs, or even have the basic right to protest. That type of bloated self interest and dictatorial disregard for the basic rights of others, is the issue we all are confronted with by ‘big business international’. What would happen , with that mentality, if such a mega company did get their way in a global control? And again, where are the American freedom fighters in all this?

Monsanto is also the subject of a court case in the States over its’ development of a GM product back in 1992, and which had been given FDA (Federal Drug Administration) approval for its’ production and use. Since 1993 their bovine somato-trophin (BST) hormone has been in widespread use among America’s dairy farmers. It is injected into cows about 3 months after they have calved, in order to increase their milk production. It does that, by up to 25 percent. It also produces a 25 percent increase in infertility, a 50 percent increase in lameness, and a huge increase in mastitis...according to surveys and reports from dairy men and veterinarian associations. It’s also responsible for the increase in stimulation of a hormone called IGF-1 which is common to both cows and humans. This pituitary hormone stimulates cells to grow and replicate at a faster rate.

We don’t know what this eventually will do because there have been no real studies. But we do know what theories about it can project. Any increase in cellular growth and replacement wears down the body’s ability to not make errors in the production of new cells. Errors in cell production cause cancerous and tumor cells. The original short toxicology study of the product on rats by Monsanto, seems to have been overlooked by the FDA...or at least that’s what they are saying. No independent research has been done. The approval went ahead anyway. A pure product such as milk, was subjected to a dumping in of GM hormones. Why, to increase milk production? It was to sell a product. It was for market influence and value. It was pure unadulterated, non-people considered capitalism. We don’t even need it...the same way we don’t need GM crops. The European Union had banned it until a later examination. The ban will be up soon.

Insecticide ‘genes’ modified into crops KILL the ‘natural world’. We now know that the pollen from GM ‘fields’, according to studies from a top American university, KILL caterpillars that would have become butterflies. All the suggestions to date, spell out and spotlight the dangers of ‘reductionist’ views. Their narrow concepts of not looking at nature holistically, and ‘only’ adding a block or building in a few ‘adjustments’ here and there, are no longer defensible. There are now ‘shown’ complications and, ‘total’ life altering and threatening, consequences to such ‘limited’ thinking. Everything is affected and infected, when ‘a simple pebble on the beach is moved’. Things are in full connection with each other. The ‘biggy’ worry, over a possible mutant end of the Nature which has always sustained us, becomes more than clear. Once ‘modified’ genes are unleashed into the environment...there can be no recall.

What’s the real problem here for all of Mankind, and why mention it here? It is all tied up in ‘one world’ things effecting our continuing ‘spiritual fall’...which has its’ reflections everywhere one now looks, and much more hidden from us in control over our lives. Come on, is this another paranoid invented ‘conspiracy thing’? How has this fulminated, where are the examples, and how can it’s features be perceived...nevermind corrected?

Easy! Global mega-corporations, tale-overs, giant mergers, and inter-company alliances, now have the absolute economic clout to do exactly what they want to. Any thing...like ‘recombinant BST’...can be guaranteed a place on the world shelf. No testing or studies have ever been done for ‘human safety’ of these products. And even more of a damming insult and unconcern...none are planned. They don’t need, any longer, to submit to public hearings or worry about public information. The whole process is internalized, outside of public view. No one ‘regulates the regulators’. It’s all out of control. The BST debacle, and it’s process of product approval, has recently shown us that members of our most ‘cherished’ regulatory agencies can and have been ‘gotten to’. Independent investigative reporting has turned up conflicts of interest, silencing of opponents, secrecy, plus economic and personal coercion. These new conglomerates (with both national and international tentacles) can by-pass anti-trust laws, push whole governments around, black mail and throttle union activity, ‘legally’ gag scientists and public servants, intimidate and blacklist employees, and pay off critics. Quite simply, the intense pressure to have products approved is rife and ‘truly’ conspiratorial.

What’s coming, if already not upon us, is something called ‘corporate democracy’...a contradiction in terms. It’s the new dictatorship and fascism, even more tightly shutting us in ‘the box’. WARNING: approval of products by government regulatory agencies is dangerous to your health, jobs, and freedom to resist. Please know that decisions may have been influenced and shoved through by economic pressure, influencing of regulatory agencies, and blackmail of both governments and individuals. Before it’s too late, ‘When in ROME...revolt!

Altruists and innocents in any of the ‘one world’ institutions, are looked at as ‘unrealistic’, dreamers, or out of date romanticists. Little wonder. These are the higher consciousness people, all through history, who have been the innovators and agents of struggle for human rights. They are now sidelined, overstepped, and growing shorter in supply. We are losing these beautiful impractical fools, not willing to accept the complete victory of dehumanizing conditions found in the ‘world box’. Governments and other institutions, without them, may not always (or increasingly seldom) act in the best interests of its’ citizens....commercial interests have no heed at all...unless forced. Now the very agencies set up to do that...are compromised.

The whole GM issue is just another camouflage and cover for the sad traditional hoodwinking of the world for generations. Millions of acres lay fallow. Farmers are paid to grow ‘nothing’. There are silos, warehouses, and ‘mountains’ full of corn, wheat, Soya, butter and other produce for example. We know there are reservoirs of stored wine and cooking oil. The list of food storage and surplus in almost every conceivable category, is no special secret. There is no food production crisis or shortage of foods. There is no intended thought about cheap world food. It has always, especially lately, been the market makers design to ‘make sure’ prices are kept artificially high.

And the farmer’s lobby has always been too influential, except in cases where they too are victimized selectively by big corporate thievery. GM advocates will stress the bigger yields per acre which these mutant foods can deliver. It’s a lie. Recently fields of GM crops have been shown to actually reduce the yield per acre. In the United States where controls are too relaxed...big business being in the drivers seat and the public fed naiveté ‘what you don’t know won’t hurt you’ programming...serious things have already begun to happen. GM herbs, produced in many cases without any license, have led to deaths. I said deaths.

What’s wrong with the idea of having scientists, businessmen, and government advocates of GM food submitting to being the testers of their ‘approved’ new products...under strict scientific and laboratory controls whereby they could only eat and drink GM foods over a period of years? It would finally make them accountable, and BEFORE unleashing anything on a captive ‘to be experimented on’ bunch of world feeders. Let’s insist on this. For a long number of years we were ‘fed’ the absolute scientific belief that high fiber increases in our diet would prevent bowel cancer. Commercial interests loaded us up with all varieties of high fiber products. We consumed mountains of it....mixed up with whey and anything else they wanted to throw in and get rid of for high profits. Now ‘it comes out’ that fiber won’t prevent bowel cancer at all, but just maybe it’s still good for coronary disease. We keep falling for science as the new God. I think this God has to submit to routine tight controls instead of faith and worship.

Their voices, over the power groups and their political stooges, won’t be heard unless world governments sit up and take notice.
